Following from our recent success at Cumann na mBunscol finals, and also to celebrate the success of all our teams this year, our U11 & U13 panels in both hurling and camogie were treated to a surprise hot lunch at school today. To have three teams qualify for County Finals and our fourth team so close to qualifying, it has been a bumper year for our hurlers and camogie players and one we definitely wanted to celebrate.
Many thanks to the team at Paddy O Dwyer’s Butchers for preparing the delicious food and a special thank you to Vinny Kelly and the Kickhams GAA club for sponsoring this food for our pupils. This gesture is a testament to the long standing association between school and club in Knockavilla and we very much appreciate the support of the local clubs - what happens at school level supports club and what happens at club level supports school so we are very lucky to have a strong and positive connection with our clubs.
A huge thanks to Mr Moran, Ms McCarthy and John O’ Dwyer for their commitment to our players this year.
