County Tipperary Community Games Swimming Finals

What a weekend for Knockavilla Donaskeigh in the Co Tipperary Community Games Swimming Finals.  12 of our pupils were in competition and they made history winning the Emer Hayes perpetual cup for the best performing club and also a first with boys taking part in the finals as well.

In U10 boys, Patrick Hayes won 1st place in the 25m backstroke, with Lee Dwyer coming in 2nd place.  Conor Killeen reached the semi-final of the 25m freestyle.
In U10 girls, Aoibheann O' Brien came 1st in the 25m freestyle and Isabelle Ryan won the 25m backstroke.
In U12 girls, Abbie Breen finished 3rd in the 50m freestyle and Olivia O' Brien came 2nd in the 50m breaststroke.
In U14 girls, past pupil Emma O' Brien came 1st in the 50m butterfly and Amy Rose Hayes took 1st in the 50m freestyle.  Aoife Killeen finished 3rd in the 50m breaststroke and Saoirse Burke reached the final in the same event.
Knockavilla Donaskeigh also claimed victory in both the U13 boys and girls relay. The boys team featured JJ Farrell, Lee Dwyer, Patrick Hayes and Conor Killeen, and the girls team was Amy Rose Hayes, Olivia O' Brien, Abbie Breen, Aoife Killeen, Isabelle Ryan and Aoibheann O' Brien. 
1st place swimmers go on to represent Tipperary in the National Finals in July.
