Fifth and Sixth Class investigated the effect of various acids on eggshells. They concluded that vinegar was the strongest acid of the three liquids tested during the experiment as it caused the eggshells to eventually disappear! The children also recalled an earlier experiment which involved the pH scale to determine how acidic vinegar is.
