ESB Science Blast in M.I. Limerick

23rd May 2019

Second, Third and Fourth Classes entered their project 'Is One Sheet Plenty?' into the ESB Science Blast and were delighted when their entry was accepted. The ESB Scientist Blast is the Young Scientist Exhibition for Primary schools.

The pupils travelled with their teachers to Mary Immaculate College, Limerick on Thursday 23rd May. They presented their project to the judges at the showcase and answered questions from other schoolchildren and teachers at the stand. We also took time to examine the other excellent projects on display at the exhibition.

We rapped our way through the solar system, took drumming lessons, explored the gastric system and experienced the litter lab. Throughout the day the children explored the main presentation area and quizzed other schools about their projects. We all had our favourites, from nettle tea or counting bees to slime and homemade toothpaste.

It was a fantastic experience for all involved. Comhghairdeas to all the children and teachers. The reward was very positive feedback from the judges who were very impressed with our entry and the ability of our pupils to explain their findings.
