As the weather has turned wintry & wet, we have had to postpone our playground games. However the two classes had enjoyed working together so much that Mrs Tierney & Mr O Meara have decided to continue our very successful collaboration, switching our focus to literacy. The pupils in Junior Infants each choose a book from their class library & are paired with a pupil from 3rd or 4th class. They chat together about the book, & then read the book in their pairs. It is a wonderful activity to be part of, & it is envisaged to continue this once a week for the winter months.
