All our pupils were learning about St Brigid this week with many making St Brigid’s crosses from rushes, pipe cleaners or wool and enjoying art activities based on the story of St Brigid’s Cloak.
Thanks to our pupils & their families who gathered rushes so we could make the crosses.
Tradition has it that St Brigid will pass by to bless the crosses on St Brigid’s eve. Remember to hang a shawl or ‘brat’ outside for St Brigid to bless - it is understood to bring health to the household.
