Mrs Healy and Mrs Tierney took to the roads again with their classes today and ventured further a field to Cappamurra Bog. We observed many interesting aspects of bog life, both plant and animal. We discovered piles of spagnum moss and discussed the dangers of bog land and the need to exercise due care when visiting a bog. We did a sweep for bugs and insects and enjoyed catching and releasing butterflies. We enjoyed a picnic lunch before venturing back up the bog road to school. A lovely way to round off a great year together.
