Mrs Healy & Mrs Tierney took Room 4 & 5 on a local walking tour to the Dwyer family farm in Ballywalter. There is a superb example of a fairy fort located on the farm lands and the children enjoyed exploring it in close detail. Mrs Healy told the children a little more on the lore associated with fairy forts and demonstrated the art of building a palisade fence from willow branches.
There is also a fine view directly across to the Rock of Cashel from the fort itself.
