We enjoyed a fun filled day in glorious sunshine for this years Sports Day. Many thanks to Mr Moran, Ms Ryan and all the staff for helping make this day a success. Well done to our 5th and 6th class pupils for their very creative posters and for leading the teams so well on the day. This year saw the return of many firm favourites with the addition of some new water activities - a welcome cool down on such a warm day. Many thanks to members of KNSPA for organising a visit from the ice cream truck - a perfect afternoon treat. We were delighted to welcome local ladies Caoimhe McCarthy and Eimear Heffernan to present the medals to our U11 camogie champions. We wish them both well as they continue their campaign with the Tipperary Senior Camogie team. A thrilling hurling league final saw Kilkenny emerge victorious. Thanks to Mr Moran and Mr Ryan for refereeing the league games during lunch time over the past number of weeks. Congratulations to Sophia English and Ródhan Coleman who were named Players of the Tournament. The day ended with a 6th class v staff wet sponge target board - I think it's fair to say some teachers were targeted more than others. Another memorable Sports Day in KNS.
