Pupils from 3rd and 4th class took on the great engineering challenge; to design a prototype to protect a raw egg when dropped 2 metres. They created fantastic, creative inventions to protect their eggs for the challenge. Many eggs were broken.....few survived. But great fun was guaranteed for all involved.
It was an egg..cellent display all round. Congratulations to all the children that entered and tried out this challenge. The children demonstrated many novel and original ideas to protect their egg. Some used popcorn protection, while others had a suspended design. There were lots of parachutes, with many creative and interesting construction techniques used.
